In the memory of two friends...
From Year 2000...
I'm just 25 years old. In my whole life I faced loosing some people around me. I can't remember some of them clearly as I was not old enough. This year I lost two friends. They didn't know each other. In different times, different places. They both left me so sad. Not for them but for me. I won't have the pleasure to talk to them anymore. There's a saying in my country: They say "good people pass away earlier". These two were the best pictures you can draw of a good person model. If there is somewhere called heaven they qualified to enter it. We're still struggling...
He was such a friend that anyone would like to have. The type that you could always find something to talk with. Including his loves, his dreams. A funny man. I really felt loosing someone who would be with me in the future too. Hard to see people having some dreams and won't have the chance to make them come true. He was one of the best persons you can ever meet. That's why he was gone so early.
TINA ANDREWS
I was a scrabble addict. One day while I was looking at the room names on IRC, I realized a new-born room: "ScrabbleON". She was the creator of it.Then I started playing scrabble in the room with other addicts. Mostly with Tina. (also known as baby, lilBO). We started chatting a lot. She became someone like one of my parents. You could feel how an amazing heart she had. She was a good friend. Sometimes listening to my problems, sharing my sadness, happiness, etc...In 1999 we had a big earthquake in Istanbul. When I logged in after the quake she told me how anxious she was about me. Then she said:
"If you would die there, I woudn't even be able to hear about it. Knowing about the quake, I would hope to see you back. Thank you for coming so quick."
After all one day when I logged in to the room after a month and asked where she was, I heard the bad news. So young... So good... I'm glad I could tell her the good news about my graduation. My plans of visiting her one day will stay as a dream. But read this, written for her in the ScrabbleON site:
"ScrabbleOn was built from the ground up by Tina Andrews. It was her dream to create a place where Scrabble players could come to have fun, socialize and be part of a community. She succeeded in creating such a place. Though she is no longer with us, you can't help but feel her presence within these cyber-walls. Come on in and relax, play some games, meet new people, and enjoy Tina's Dream."
Sorry Tina, but I can't play scrabble in the room as much as I used to. Something seems to be missing around. Though your spirit still helps. You're the one I miss most in my lonely online nights.
This is the passage to the ScrabbleON web page.
